|Title||Infrastructure Systems Architect|
As the organisation’s subject matter expert in all matters relating to the Infrastructure Systems Technology environment, the post holder will be responsible for the development and maintenance of the Infrastructure Systems Technology strategy and to assist in the definition and operation of the operating model of said strategy. The prime duty of the Infrastructure Systems Technical Architect is to ensure that the IT Infrastructure Systems Services are and remain suitable to support the delivery of all current and planned IT Services and will operate across the whole service lifecycle.
The post holder will undertake design work and/or design oversight work in the Infrastructure Systems Technology Area. They will demonstrate leadership in the Infrastructure Systems Technology Area and maintain the overall integrity of the design & operational capability of this area.
The post holder will be the focus for the development of effective IT Infrastructure Systems services. The main responsibility of the position holder is to ensure that the IT services that are required to allow the organisation to be successful are supported by effective Infrastructure Systems Services. This is a proactive, strategic role and it is essential that the position holder is always looking forward and planning the next generation of Infrastructure Systems Services.
The post holder will work within an ITIL (or other standards as defined from time to time) to ensure that the inter-relationship between Data, Business, Application and Technical are recognised in all outputs through architectural blueprints.
The Infrastructure Systems Technical Architect will have a very wide range of relationships across the entire IT function. In addition there is a need to understand the strategic direction of the Trust & its’ associated partners. The entire IT design team are required to engage effectively with senior clinicians, research colleagues, operational staff & partners of the organisation in order to develop effective solution strategies.
